About Fire Front Consultancies
Fire Front Consultancies was founded by Sally van de Paverd in 2010. After the 2009 Black Saturday fires, the government tightened building standards and planning requirements across Victoria’s high-risk fire areas and Sally built a practice dedicated to helping people navigate them. More than a decade on, bushfire assessment and planning is still all we do.
That focus is the whole point. Sally is a member of the Fire Protection Association Australia, accredited to BPAD Level 3 (the highest accreditation level), and a member of the Victorian Bushfire Working Group. Being properly registered isn’t just a badge it means every report is insured, peer-reviewed, and backed by ongoing professional development, which is exactly what referral authorities like the CFA and FRV, and building surveyors, prefer to work with.
We work with homeowners, builders, draftspeople, town planners and architects across Melbourne and regional Victoria from one-off BAL assessments through to complex overlay and subdivision reports.
